This standard specifies the quality requirements for commercial varieties of fruits, classified
as “annonas”, to be supplied fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging
This standard is applicable to:
– Cherimoya of varieties (cultivars) grown from Annona cherimola Mill;
– Sugar apple of varieties (cultivars) grown from Annona squamosa L;
– Atemoya hybrid from Annona cherimola Mill. and Annona squamosa L;
– Soursop of varieties (cultivars) grown from Annona muricata L.
This standard does not apply to annonas for industrial processing.
