Job Summary
The receptionist is responsible for providing receptionist duties and clerical support to the executive office and/or the organizational unit, by providing exceptional services to all customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide reception duties and clerical support for the day-to-day management of the organisation.
- Provide courteous telephone services, directing calls as appropriate.
- Record messages for personnel who are away from their desk.
- Capture and record complaints and direct them to the proper person and to follow up to ensure that cases are closed in a timely manner.
- To greet the public and staff, at the front desk.
- To perform routine clerical tasks, such as filing, sorting and distributing mail, faxing information and typing.
- Develop and disseminate the monthly organization newsletter.
- Provide support for SLBS internal events as needed, with responsibilities to included co-ordination of the event location set up, including conferences, workshops, seminars, meetings and presentations related to the organization’s programme activities arranging for audio visual etc.
- Support the releasing customs entries through ASYCUDA
- Support organization barcode generation
- To perform other related duties within the competence of the incumbent and which may be assigned by the Head of Department/Director from time to time.

- Working environment – Indoor work with high level of physical comfort and very low exposure to hazardous materials or pathogen.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Education & Certification:
- Completion of High School plus 5 CXC, including Math and English
Professional Training:
- NVQ/CVQ Level Training
Work Experience:
- Two years working experience including job placement/ attachment experience.
